Skálholt), the one of residence of icelandic bishops?
You see, I am trying to translate Íslendingabók to russian (may be
it's bad idea, but it's funny for me). And I try to translate all
toponyms there, how is assumed in all russian translations.
As for me, it has many meanings...
And about Ölfossvatn (later Ölfusvatn, now Þingvallavatn) = "Ale-
Waterfall Lake"?
