The ON text is from Vigfusson´s
Corpus Poeticum Boreale. I like this book because the translation is right
below the ON text, thus making it easy to follow along.
The text should
read:
Þvi-at alfraoðull lýsir um alla
daga,
ok þeygi at míinom
munom.
Lit.
For the sun shines all
day,
but would not bring me
joy

For the sun shines day by day,
but brings no joy to me
I would say that there may
ocassional errors in his rendering of the ON text
