I can't type umlauts either. But it's not a big problem. An umlaut
originally meant an extra tiny "e". So, I just add an "e". "Books" in
German would be "Buecher".
And Old Norse "thief" would be "thjolfr".
Old norse "it" would be "dhat". It's really easy to figure it out.
I'm not sure what "to the men" would be, but I think it would be "m
umlauted o n nu m". I would write that "moennum". It's really easy to
read it and understand it. Maybe there is some html code I could use
for Norse letters, but I don't know what it is.
