Thanks for being positive towards RTF!
Here is some feedback:
I made the rtf files in "Wordpad" which is a default part
of Windows. I do not have Word. However, "Wordpad" is able
to read the Word files, and appears to format them in the
way you intended.
I used the file-area as "intermediate station".
From there I could download the files to my Mac computer.
There I have an old version of MS Word for Mac.
Mac Word and WinWord are designed to share files
via the rtf format.
After opening your lesson files in MS Word for Mac,
I found it convenient to insert page numbers.
I also inserted headers to ea. page. That is because
when I work with loose sheets in a ledger(?) it is
convenient to have a header legend that tells you
book title and chapter number at a glance, because there
is always a lot of shuffling of the papers going on.
AS header I choose (for my own use \italic):
"Norse Course -- Lesson 2" (example)
And then I let the page numbers be in the footer.
I start the first page of each new chapter with page
number one. That way each chapter becomes an independent unit.
Apart from that I changed nothing, though it might have
been convenient if more tables had been set by tabs
instead of spaces, in case one needs to adjust the columns
somewhat.
What appeared unusual, though, was that in "Lesson Two"
all paragraphs have numbers that begin with 1.
(f.x. 1.3.2) For me it would have been more logical
if all paragraphs in Lesson 2 started with a 2 (f.x. 2.3.2)
These are only minor details. But neverthesless important
for someone who takes care to take out good copies on a
good printer and store them in a ledger. I hope some of these
remarks were useful.

Everything seems to be working fine now!
Now I am trying to find out what the best way to transfer
rtf files to you and Haukur is. (solutions to the lessons)
Since I heard there were few who made use of this opportunity,
I think I'll try to send in some solutions. That is because
translations never have a unique solution, and therefore
comments by the teacher are valuable.
