Okay, I've finished converting the Lesson 2 page into a doc file.
It should follow this letter as an attachment.
I also converted it to a text file and tried to format it to look bearable
but I do recommend that you use the doc file if you have Word.
I will now send those two files into the files section.

Quite a lot of change and corrections have been made since the first
version. I strongly recommend that you do not use any earlier version at all.
The doc file seems to be about 15 pages but it is still probably a good idea
to print it out.

I am not terribly good at formatting. If anyone reformats the files to make
them look much better the same is asked to send his/her/its version to me;
we can make that the official file.

And use the website! It contains articles and help we have not posted to this
list. If you are not using the website you are missing out.

Hopefully you will have time to do the lesson and finish the exercises this
weekend
but no deadline for lesson 2 has yet been decided.
Kindly, tell us what you think; what works well for you and what doesn't.
So far, most
of the comments we have got have been praise (and don't stop sending that!)
but it is
most important that you tell us what _doesn't_ work well for you so it can
be fixed.
Your participation in the polls is also a good way to help us understand
what you want.
There is a new poll asking how you're handling lesson 2. So far, only two
people have
answered and they both say it is too difficult for them!
