By Moeller's rule, PIE *kWod- would not produce Gmc. *xWat-, but *xat-. Cf. Gothic (etc.) _hals_ 'neck' < Gmc. *xalsa- against Lat. _collum_ < *kWolso-.

Similarly PIE *kWo:d- would not produce Gmc. *xWo:t-, but *xo:t-.
