Assuming the Celts lost their p- in situ, so to speak, and not before they started wandering. Irish is full of words in p-.

Außer semantischen Schwierigkeiten ist die Zugehörigkeit des lapp. Wortes auch deshalb unsicher, da es kaum von L puokŋe: 'die harte, weiße Masse in einem Horn, Geweih od. Knochen' zu trennen ist, das einen velaren Vokalismus aufweist.

Im Wog. fand ein Wandel *ŋ > ŋk statt.

Das wog. Wort fiel in der Lautform mit dem Wort für 'Zahn' zusammen (s. unter *piŋe 'Zahn' FU).

Ung. fej ist eine Rückbildung aus Formen mit Px fejem usw.

Die Zugehörigkeit der jur. und jen. Wörter ist fraglich, da sie nur als Verb vorkommen.'
