Also, Frisian is closer to German, and Polish is nested within East
Slavic, close to Ukrainian :). This is because you get different
phylogenies for basic vocabulary than for the total linguistic
structure. Horizontal transfer at work plus shared retentions (as in the
Romanian-Sardinian pseudo-clade). Nothing to worry about as long as you
remember what data you are using.
