Word Vaivorykshte means rainbow in Lithuanian. This word is made from name Vaiva and word RYKSTE, meaning SCOURGE. The meaning of name Vaiva is unknown. Maybe that is the name of some indoeuropean goddess? I think that name can be Thracian.
