If the root really had been *xYer+ then there would be no reason not to derive them from the same word since it seems that the change xYo > xYe was optional: *xYormo+ \ *xYermo+.
However, I don't believe there's any evidence for this root. Based on other changes in these branches I'd say they're from *xar+ as in Greek ararisko:, arithmos, etc. Therefore, from *xármó+ came reduplicated *xìxr,mó+ to Hit.:
