All I can say is that:
Sometimes the aging cause problems.....:)

'to know' -> "clan, family" ? I don't see any sematic link ...If you could see one , great for you :)
I could know a lot of things: what to eat, what to drink, who can sing , who can dance etc...


on the other hand:
"genitor, beget" -> "clan, family, kinsman" ...yes, here the semantic is obvious
