No. It's from the big Liddel and Scott dictionary. Surprisingly, my
Homeric grammar doesn't mention it, nor does my big Greek grammar. But I
read Homer comfortably and often, and I meet the word frequently enough -
though only in the singular. Hesiod is on my to-do list, but I enjoy Homer
too much to move on.
