Germanic: *aGaz/*aGiz- 'fear', *axaz/*axiz 'ear (of corn)', *aiz (<

*seGaz-/*siGiz- 'victory', *setaz/*sitiz- 'seat' (Ringe 2006 after Meid

cealf 'calf', cild 'child').

Slavic: *nebo/*nebes- 'sky', *slovo/*sloves- 'word', *kolo/*koles-
'wheel', *te^lo/*te^les- 'body', *c^udo/*c^udes- 'miracle', *oko/*oc^es-
'eye', *uxo/*us^es- 'ear' (but the duals *oc^i and *us^i are formed from
the bare, unextended roots), *isto/*istes- 'kidney; testicle',
*oje/*ojes- 'pole (of a vehicle)' (Bernstein 1974) plus several es-stem
variants of thematic neuters.
