Not anything direct, the 'hard' words having an initial plain velar
(*k), but all sorts of phonosymbolic associations could have developed,
involving also other similar roots. Opinions are divided over the
question whether the verb root *k^erh2- 'crush, break' is genetically
related to the 'head/horn' set.
