What do you connote by "ancient Balkans"?

Would you mind telling me more about your Proto-Romanian dz-?

According to my humble opinion, if you are implying that Albanian dh- (dhe "earth"; i.e. dh > dz) is akin to former Romanian dz-, it may be a pretty weak argument, because there is another word for "earth" in Albanian - tokë "earth".

The issue is that (dH)g^H is rather dz- or z- in Ancient Balkans and
not s-

But maybe DZ- was loaned in Greek as s- at that stage

The Greek timeframes could give a hint if this was possible or not

Any help?
