In Crete the chthonian childish Zeus  was called Za:n, which is sometimes seen as a derivative of *Dya(u)s, an alternatively as from *Ya:n (cf. Yahve?, Yayash?, Yayati? Iakkhos?)
If it represents a IE Pre-Greek Cretan or non-IE, it's still cloudy...

I wonder how it can be precisely stated that Linear A is an Indo-Iranian
language ?
and how indo-iranian speakers could be in Crete and not elsewhere ?
