A great deal of the labour could be saved if (at least initially) we didn’t simply repeat information in Pokorny, but instead concentrated on identifying the newly-spelled roots with suffixes (perhaps also with whatever information is needed to justify the new reconstruction), and otherwise, where possible, simply referring to Pokorny for details of the attested languages.
