I was wondering if one could nail two Pokorny entries with one root
*y-n,W-, namely:

2. yeu-, yew&-, yeu-g- "verbinden";
yu(:)-ti- "Verbindung",
yeugos- n. "Gespann",
yeug-ter- "Anschirrer",
-yug- "geschirrt, Gefährte";
yugo-m n. "Joch",
yug-men- "Paarung, Joch",
yug-ti-s "Anschirren",
yug-tό- "angespannt";

and

3. yeu- "jung",
Positiv yuwen- (: yu:n-),
Kompar. yew-yos.

by interpreting the latter as "subordinate" ("junior") instead; cf.
subjugate.

If so, we'll have a nice etymology for Inguaeo:nes.
