Salem Chaker is the man I would readily describe as Mr Number-One of Berber
Studies in France.
He does not wink a second when using the word " Chamito-Semitique" for his
own beloved Berber languages.
I have not had the opportunity of meeting him,
but it might be very interesting.
And to make one more step,
one reviewer of one of my articles on Berber, I don't know who he or she is,
has even called me a "Berber militant" (sic !!)
even though my article is titled "the guttural phonemes of Chamito-Semitic
in Berber".
Can you believe this !?
