Res: [tied] The -SG- in Greek (PELASGOS)

In Greek, -d is a very productive suffix,"augmenting" feminine endings in -a (or N) or -i (cf. Pallas, Iris, Artemis). What I meant to say by "similar", is that Semitic has a feminine suffix -at, and maybe a contact between Pre-Greeks and Semites could have influenced the origin of this d-suffix.

Other Pre-Greek suffix that may mean "people" or "men" is -o(:)p. Cf. Pelops, Dolopes, Dryopes, Merops, Europs, etc.

I see some similarity between feminine d-suffix and Semitic -t.
cf. Artemis, Iris, Perseis, Nereis, Pallas, Naias, Dryas, etc.

whatever "similar" means.
