Well, I don't do grands projets. I try to reconstruct backwards from
what we know historically, not forwards. And I haven't gotten further
back than Veneti.

It's becoming impossible to even understand what you are talking about.
You cannot escape the fact that PIE existed somewhere sometime and afterward
split in dialects (like East and West) and then specific groups like Celtic,
Italic, Baltic, Greek etc.
So where do the goddamn Veneti fit into the general picture of IE languages
?
Are they IE in the first place and why ?
