I feel very tired. I've been a member of Cybalist since its
establishment nine years ago, and I volunteered to moderate it when
Cyril's interest had shifted elsewhere. I don't pretend I'm an expert
administrator. I'm interested in discussing linguistics and in
popularising sound scholarship, not in bossing people round. As regards
netiquette, I have always relied on my fellow list members' decency and
good will.
When after all these years a notorious crackpot and trouble-maker like
you demands me to quit, there are two things I can do: declare Cybalist
dead and close it, or strike you (and a few other people) off the list,
giving the rest of us another chance.
I'm going to run a poll to see which course other members prefer.
