Not just so. He is said to be the father of the princess given as wife
to the King of Assuwa. No reason to doubt the historicity of a Kádmos
King of Thebes (or of Ahhiyawa).

Well, Dear Francisco,

I'm not yet convinced.
For a couple of reasons.

1. According to me, Kadmos is the same as Indra.
Kad-mos = the killer. PIE kad = kill.
It seems some North-western components of the Greeks claimed Kadmos-Indra as
their "ancestor".

I consider it highly dubious that Ahhiyawa (early non Greek Anatolian
people) could do the same.
Ahhiyawa is likely to claim Poseidon or even more likely Apollon (a typical
IE Anatolian god)

2. Greeks have a strong tendency to reinterpret conceptual links as familial
links.
But i'm interested in knowing more about this princess. Hopefully with clean
sources !

Arnaud
