I like to start this thread alphabetically from *bholg'his '(skin)
bag, bolster' from the werb *bhelg'h- 'to swell': OIr bolgr 'sack',
Gaul bulga 'leather sack', OHG balg 'skin', OE bel(i)g 'bag' > NE
belly, Slovenian blazina 'feather bed', Av b&r&ziš 'bolster,
cushion', Skt upa-bharani:- 'cover, bolster' (Mallory and Adams,
IPIE, 230) and I dare say Alb pallzinë 'bolster'.
*H1ekt- 'net': Hit e:kt-, Skt aks.u-, Greek dektu- and maybe Alb
otra 'strong and heavy twine' from *e:kt-ra, due to rule that in a
cluster of two stops the first is lost.
*wes- 'be dressed': Alb vesh 'to put on (clothes), cover' from
causative form *wos-yo > PAlb *wasja and due to i-Umlaut modern
Albanian vesh, attested also in Skt causative wasayati, Grk
ennumi 'get dressed', Hit wess- 'be dressed', Toch B wa:s- 'be
dressed' and nominal derivatives: Alb veshë/veshje 'dress, clothes',
Lat vestis 'clothes'.
*yeH3s- 'to gird': Lith juosiu 'gird, girdle, buckle on (a sword),
OCS po-jašo 'gird', Alb n-gjesh 'gird, buckle on', Grk
zo:nnu:mi 'gird', zo:ne: 'belt', Av ya:h- 'gird'.
