We shall ignore the semantics and concentrate on the real issues on hand.

Whether MBh war has taken place sometime in 16th C BCE or 1500 years or so earlier to it? that is the question we are discussing. Another interesting aspect that KE raises is how it helps the linguists to correct their present obviously  mistaken notions- whether regarding the PIE homeland, the real connection between Skt and other so called IIr languages and more importantly, the correct direction of borrowings of primary words.

Again, ignore whether these are mistaken notions, I know you would not agree on that score. So, let us simply concentrate on two aspects, the chrnology of MBh and how you can make it help you.

Hope this leads to a healthy discussion,

You said:

It is possible that we are too aware of the resistance we
face for arguments like these from the likes of Brian M
Scott.

I am the prototypical instance of 'the likes of Brian M
Scott', so it is a statement about me (as well as possible
others). And as I said, I have never commented on
'arguments like these', so you have no basis for the
statement.

My 'tone' in commenting on 'arguments like these' is
obviously nonexistent, since I have not offered such
comments.
