I think that it's completely off-topic, and experience
elsewhere suggests that it's likely to lead to more heat
than light. I'll not take the initiative to stop it as long
as it remains civil, but I'd prefer to see it die a quick
death, and I'd not object in the slightest if another
moderator chose to end it.
