Oh, I got that backwards, didn't I? It should be ainê is used to form Ainaâs > Aineâs > Ionic
Aineiâs. Though in any case I still dont't understand why Ainaâs instead of Ainâs (as the
latter looks more like a straight "masculinization" of feminine ainê to my inexpert eyes).

Any thoughts? Anyone know what Meister actually says about this?
