hte matter seems to work very simple if the form in Hungarian was
*uwegV.(V= "a" or "e")
The Romanian development was :
1)-reducing the geminate ( uw= uu=u),
2) yotacising of "e" to "ie"
3) rendering of "ie" to "ia" due the "ã" in the next syllable
*uwega > *uega > *uiegã > uiagã
Apprently the "ü" in Hungarian is a later change here. The Romanian
phonetic change is perfect regular with no problems at all , if and I
repeat one more time, if the word in the time it has been borowed from
Hungarian was pronounced as *uwega.
