1. Thanks for this information.

2. I quoted Abaev from a quotation : I don't have his etymological
dictionary. Usually I quote completely what I have.

3. Could you determine the original form : it was _éveg_ or _üveg_?

What is the first attestation of each of these forms in
Hungarian?

4. if _éveg_ is the original form: Is regular that an é passed to ü
in Hungarian? At least I'm not aware about this.
