That's clear anyway, given several examples like *h3re:g^- > dial. Celt.
*ri:g- > PGmc. *ri:k-. It is also possible that the ancestors of the
Germani borrowed the word from Celtic, in which case it would be of
_western_ rather than _eastern_ origin (and _accidentally_ similar to
the Mongolian word).
