Neither Proto-Indo-European nor Sanskrit either one is as complex
as some modern languages spoken by peoples generally considered
fairly technologically primitive.

I'm a latecomer to this thread, but this point you make is interesting to me.  Could you please identify any of these modern languages as intricate and complex as Proto-Indo-European or Sanskrit yet spoken by peoples generally considered fairly technologically primitive?
