Which he, according to the most recent solarship, was not. Nor was
Mitra. As a matter of fact, the old idea that the Vedic Adiyas were
a group of "solar gods" is no longer accepted by Vedicists.

Why should they be more important than a thorough philological
analysis of the hymns of the R.gveda?
