That was a progressive tendency in Etruscan. Early
Etruscan does tend to show vowels while the later
inscriptions tend delete all vowels except the initial
ones suggesting that Etruscan either eliminated most
non-inital vowels or reduced them to schwas or
unvoiced vowels
