The Etruscans had it in for vowels. Have you seen what
Etruscan does to Greek vowels in loanwords? It's worse
than what the English do to food.

Herakleis > Herkle

I have at least three objections :

1. Where is the -p- of proso:pon
in phersu ?

2. Attic is stressed on the first -o-
I expect **prusup or pursup ?
not phersu

3. Prosôpon is from proti-o:pon
Doric does not make : ti > si
We should expect **purtiup-
from Doric settlements in Italy

I'm waiting for the refutations of our
very honourable and beloved learned people.
