Check out the Pictish kinglist and see if there's
anything of interest.
There are some theories that claim the Picts were
originally from Scandinavia. Someone wrote a book
claiming it was Germanic. I don't know how whacked out
they are, though. Pictish was basically Celtic with
some oddball inscriptions. I read in a history of
Scotland that one of the early prehistoric groups
found in Scotland indeed had cultural links in
Scandinavia, so maybe that's where they got the idea
