*dw- and *dhw- give d- in Insular Celtic (e.g. Ir. dall
'blind', W./Co./Br. dall, cf. Goth. dwals 'foolish').

The Old Irish form is to be derived from "post-laryngeal"
*dwo:u (= Skt. dváu). The doublet *o: ~ *o:u points to
*-oh3.
