I am amazed that such a simple question could arouse this much venom.

Should not Snorri's testimony be weighed with the other evidence?

Though the Bible may present self-serving stories in general, does anyone
actually doubt that a sizable number of Semites were once in Egypt? and
subsequently left for Palestine?

The classical testimony for Troy was denigrated until it was actually found.
