2. (p23) <'ans^> (s^ = shin) is not a possible Hebrew word. The
singular <'iysh> would require explanation, so I suggest you just give
the plural <'a^na:s^iym> 'men'. Are you claiming that the third
consonants (PIE *r v. a Semitic sibilant) are cognate?

I will comment only on the last root discussed here.

O&S have *nüs-, 'man' AND 'woman'; I think the only way that could
reasonably originate is from a concept like 'mate'; and I consider PIE
*nes-, 'unite', their cognate.
