What is most funny in this connection is that Koenraad Elst himself,
one of the champions of the Out-of-India theory who, as the members
if this furum know well by now, is daily quoted by Kelky as a
secondary source for all the books and papers he never bothered to
read, has repeatedly criticized the guy on different discussion
forums for the very same reasons mentioned by Rick above.
The following quotes are taken from two of the best posts Elst wrote
in this vein in the last 3-4 years:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/akandabaratam/message/25782
"On other lists, I have spent a lot of my valuable time, and have
witnessed top-ranking scholars like Piotr Gasiorowski patiently
spend their valuable time, on explaining the basics of IEL to people
like M. Kelkar and S. Kalyanaraman. We've all given up, it was like
talking to the wall."
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IndianCivilization/message/60994
"I thought this list had been set up for a better purpose than for
registering Mr. Kelkar's vomited revulsion for other authors. With
his misbehaviour, Mr. Kelkar is providing the enemy forces with all
the ammunition they need in order to portray AIT skeptics as a bunch
of querulous incompetents. Objectively, he is an enemy agent."
(I have saved the full series on my home PC for my friends'
amusement.)
