The story is that PET, the Danish Intelligence Service uncovered a
plot by two Tunisians with stay permits and one Danish citizen of
Moroccan descent to kill the cartoonist who drew the most provocative
of the cartoons, the one with the bomb in the turban, in his home. The
two Tunisians will be expelled, without trial, according to the new
terrorism laws, as constituting a threat to the Danish state. In the
reports of the incident, all Danish papers, also Politiken, which
attacked the original cartoon-publishing paper, Jyllandsposten, last
time around, published the cartoons again, as being relevant to the
story, in an act of mutual solidarity and for the freedom of the
press. Since then, we've had four days of riots, Paris-style. We are
looking forward to the Friday mosque sermons and what happens abroad
this time.
