OKAY --Can we agree to use a common set of ASCII
symbols for laryngeals, schwas and other such items?
My understanding is there is a linguistic convention
for these items. I believe Trask himself explained to
me that @ stands for schwa, ? for glottal stop, I
forget what he used for 'ayn
But things get confusing with people using their own
signs
Piotr, Brian --could either of you issue a diktat and
have people stick to it: i.e. bounce e-mail that fails
to conform
