No, that is the wrong preposition. You can't be happy of being French.
You can be tired of being French, if you should need that phrase one
day. But don't worry. If the French don't want you because you are too
happy, you can always become Dutch. They don't mind people being
happy, as you can see on their paintings, with which they provoked
their serious neighbors. They invented the idea that life can be fun
this side of the grave.
