There might be an _initial_ laryngeal (especially if one believes that
an *h1 or *h2 is necessary before a *j to produce an aspirate rather
than a zeta in Greek). Even LIV, which uses *a much too sparingly for my
taste, reconstructs this root as *hjag^-, without an internal *h2.
