In fact, Takelma was spoken in Oregon !
not California.

Cf . Sapir, "The Takelma LAnguague of South-Western Oregon"
Hanbook of Amer. Ind. Languages, II.

This set of six items was idiocy from the start
but this can be considered as an exercise
in telling typology from diachronics.
Benveniste found that Takelma
a language spoken in CAlifornia also matches the set.

Cf. "Problèmes de linguistique générale" Tome 1
Gallimard, 1966,
pages 108 sequitur.
