Oops, I wanted to write *mei-no-. I actually prefer a derivation from
the gen./dat., since that's what usually happens elsewhere. The actual
formations vary from branch to branch (and Sanskrit uses the orthotone
form *meme-). Other possessive pronouns vary in a similar way: *tewo-
(from *tewe) ~ *two- ~ *twojo- ~ *teino-.
