e...a > a...a happens in Celtic (in particular, *era > *ara was a
regular PCelt. change). I'm not sure about the dating of *ew > *ow and
have no historical grammar of Celtic to hand; perhaps *newan became
*nawan directly.

No, given the known phonological developments in Greek.

The voice of PIE verbs was a conjugational category (marked by special
inflectional endings), not their lexical property. I don't think I know
a verb like *wah2-, and I have left my copy of the LIV at home, far from
the place where I am now.
