Etruscans are essentially Lithuanian. The gods of Lithuanians are
essentially Indian (in scholarly language- Indo European) Refer their
daivas (the highest god) with the Daivam (or God) of Indian Sanskrit.
Diva refers to skies and daiva essentially refers to the astronomical
bodies of sky. (thus, daivajna means who can read the movement of the
stars and hence, predict- literally who knows the skies) Thus, Daivam
refers to the Lord of the entire Universe, having ruler ship over all
the celestial bodies. Their Okopirn too suggests similarities with the
concept of Hiaryana Garbha of Hinduism.

The Aswins of India are again represented as the twin sons of the
Almighty. These two gods specifically represent the healing aspects
just as Indian Aswins do.

The Baltic Perkunas refer to both Tarhunt of Etruscans on one hand and
the Indra of Indians on the other. He uses thunderbolt for a weapon to
kill Veln- the Vritra.

Just as Ushas of Rgveda had problems from Indra, the Baltic morning
dawn Ausrine was overthrown by Perkunas., from sky to the earth- thus
endowing her with the sky-earth dichotomy.

The word Tarhunt of Etruscans must have come from Varuna, perhaps
through the word Num torum , the supreme God which is more nearer home.

I am sure further discussions will throw light on the eastern
connection of Etruscans, may be in round about way at least. I am
almost getting surer of their Dardic connection.

Watch out, willya?
