Maybe it's not so crazy. Bomhard has proposed a couple hundred roots
that are common between PIE and PAA. If it's not from a genetic
relationship, and chance resemblance is unlikely, then it must be by
borrowing. Studies of mtDNA indicate a population flow from Africa,
into the Middle East, into Asia, and then into Southern Europe.
