In the FRench Edition by Ruhlen "'L'origine des langues",
He claims that Burushaski, "Caucasic" and Basque are related
because they share the word :

Basque horotz
"Caucasic" kurtch
Burushaski ghurash

All meaning : "excrement".

Obviously these words are loanwords from PIE s-ker-t "s..t"

so it is no wonder they have failed to prove these languages are
cognate on the basis that they share the same loanwords from PIE.
This is a cause hard to plead.

I suppose there is some "Freudian" lapse in the fact that Ruhlen
chose this word as a proof.
It seems more appropriate as a comment on his work.
