But they did not change the general framework,
they flowed in the mould.
Basically, PIE phonology hasn't changed since Saussure's laryngeals in 1870.

It's like claiming that nothing has happened in physics since Newton
published "Principia". Do you happen to know why 1876 is called the
"annus mirabilis" of historical lingustics and (in particular) IE
studies? Do you know when Anatolian, Tocharian and Mycenaean texts were
discovered and deciphered?
